Aftercare Instructions to take care of your fresh tattoo, when its covered with Saniderm/Derm shield or a second skin type of adhesive plastic

Duration: Leave the Derm Shield on for 3–7 days, as recommended by your artist.
Removal: Gently peel the Derm Shield off while under warm, running water. You can also try peeling it off in the shower.
Cleaning: Wash the tattoo with unscented soap and warm water.
Moisturizing: Apply a small amount of fragrance-free and alcohol-free moisturizer to the tattoo.
Protection: Keep the tattoo out of the sun until it's fully healed.
Other considerations:
Fluid buildup under the bandage is normal, but remove it if it seems excessive or is leaking.
You can shower with the Derm Shield on, but avoid hot tubs, swimming, sunbathing, and strenuous exercise.
Remove the wrap if anything foreign gets between the wrap and your tattoo.
Derm Shield contains adhesives and may cause allergic reactions in people with adhesive allergies.
